Nice in August it was.Public Transportation to Parque Aquatico Amarante - Aqua Aventura There are plenty of life guards, and always at the top, by the slides. We hope they will carry on getting many custom to keep up and maintaining the Parc. We saw it is popular here with French, Spanish and English families, and has a nice Parisian feel to it. And a very large sloping pool area suitable for all, which did some waves at 12 noon, 2pm & 4pm. One suitable for young, and the other for juniors which is by the nice gentle lazy river. There’s also 2 children’s pool and slide areas, both large enough. What with Covid, it was great to find this local gem, and we will definitely be back! A good variety of slides. We came only afternoon on first day, and was still good enough to have almost 4 hours. It is very good value for a full day and all inclusive. And you purchase your wrist bands and ticket from a Hotel reception on site - to show at the gate of the Aquaparc. The Water Parc opened at 10:30am and it’s a full days rate, and it’s the only rate of €27 adults, €22 children. It was easier for us adults to attempt slides with a few sangrias and mojitos! We were sad when it closed at 5:30pm and it was still very hot and sunny in August - but was fine as Coves Noves small amusement parc opened up next door at 6pm until late. We’ve been coming to Arenal D’en Castell for many years, but was unsure on the water parc, but wished we’d come years ago!! It does look a little sun bleached, some slides. The brands on the big signs - extra but reasonable enough. There is also an ice-cream one on the bar. It’s all inclusive with a good drinks menu (kids slush, non & alcohol) and a limited food menu including chips, burgers, chicken nuggets, sandwiches, salad etc… mostly with a star * next to items. You get a warm welcome, and you can see most areas okay from where your shown to your chosen sun beds. Had such a lovely family day out here, so much so, we told and returned with other families from our local resort! If your in or near to Arenal D’en Castell, we would highly recommend. Be careful and look out for each other as there are not enough staff to do it for you. So my message is, you will have a good time here, but Health and Safety is badly lacking. He was taken to the first aid room - but there was no one trained or able to give first aid, at that time. My friend suffered head, shoulder, feet injuries. The attendant was obviously too busy to control the slides, resulting in a horrific crash. What happened on this occasion was my friend collided with the person before him who had fallen off his rubber ring and had got stuck mid slide. However, there was one one attendant on duty who was responsible for controlling three slides! In a normal world, there would be staff at the start and end of the slides so that they can control access, ensuring there are no collisions. Ultimately this was due a total lack of staffing at the start and end of the rides. And this is where the bad review comes in.ĭuring the second visit, one of my friends was badly injured on one of the slides (yellow and blue tube). In fact we had such a good time, we came back later in the week. Yes they need a bit of TLC, but my family and I had a great time. There aren't loads of slides, but the slides there are, are all good fun. But I have to be honest, we had a fantastic fun packed day. Based on previous reviews, I wasn't expecting much. Our first visit was excellent which exceeded expectations. This is a good and bad review based on two visits during the first week of August.
